Photo Viewing Tips
Here's how to get larger images displayed at their maximum size:
-
If you see a hand rather than an arrow when you "mouse-over" a picture it's a hot-link to a larger image.
-
Click on the picture to display the larger image.
-
Unfortunately, many browsers are set to automatically downsize large images. This results in smaller than full-size images being displayed. Images with print will often appear blurred if they are not displayed at full size.
-
Full-size display is easy and quick in both IE-7 and Firefox as a magnifier with a + sign appears if the image can be made larger. Clicking anywhere in the image will instantly make it larger.
-
With the IE-6 browser it's a much slower and more difficult process. You can check to see if you are seeing the full-size image by clicking once on the image and then moving the mouse pointer to the lower right hand corner of the image and holding it there. A 4-headed arrow will appear after a few seconds if the image is not being displayed at its maximum size. Clicking on the arrow when it appears will make the image go to full size. Some patience is required here as it may take 15 to 20 seconds for the arrow to appear for some of the images.
-
If you wish, you can force your browser to always display the images at full size. Google "disable automatic image resizing" plus the name of your browser to find out how to do this.
